Two of my favorite Florentine phrases: "In boco al lupe" literally means, "In the mouth of the wolf," and is used to say, "Good luck." "Squelo" is a verb that means to call a person and let it ring once before hanging up. It's done simply to tell people that you're thinking of them.

"Crepi" is the correct response to "In boca al lupo" and a "squillo" is used when you don't have any money on your phone and you want someone to call you back or to tell them that you have arrived "oppure "can simply mean I'll give you a quick call.
