United KingdomEngland is not exactly known for its culinary prowess, and Oxford is no exception. However, there is one culinary delight beloved by all Oxford students, one that cannot compare to any American counterpart: Chips and Cheese (that's french fries smothered in cheese and ketchup). As soon as the sun goes down, the Kebab Vans emerge - two or more for every street corner - until the wee hours of the morn. While they generally serve a variety of foods, from curry to baked beans to kebabs, the option of choice is of course chips and cheese. And after a night at the pub/bar/club or even working furiously on your paper, there is nothing more satisfying or more quintessentially Oxford.
