If you see any American films in Spain, don't expect to hear your native language -- everything is in Spanish. All movies, regardless of language, are dubbed in Spanish. Subtitles are rarely used. While the voice-over process in Spain is a large industry, many language professors are not enthusiastic. Spaniards, in particular, are often said to have very strong accents when speaking English, and language instructors partially attribute this to a lack of oral familiarity with the language. But still, the majority of Spaniards seem to prefer dubbing to subtitles, even if they never get to hear the real voices of their favorite American actors!
