Your first day--and every proceeding day--in Greece should end with "arazame" (a-rah-za-may), the state of complete contentment and relaxation, achieved only with good company, conversation, and coffee. When Miltos and Katerina picked us up at the Athens central train station, they promised we could do and see nothing until we were "arazame." "Coffee first, talk later," Miltos smiled nervously as he ducked into the driver's seat. Katerina translated: "In Greece, you don't discuss the day until you are sitting by the ocean, drinking coffee. We will buy Nescafes, then we will get to know each other!" And we did, for three hours, reclined in wicker chairs by the harbor. "Now!" Katrina exclaimed, "We are arazame!"
