No worries, Fiji time bro

When I studied abroad in the Fiji Islands one thing I had trouble getting used to was "Island Time." This is basically the concept that there really is no set time for anything. It was not uncommon for a meeting, gathering, party, etc to start two hours after the agreed upon time. Coming from the United States, quite the punctual country, this was hard to get used to. Stores opened late, restaurant food took forever, mail was delayed. To cope, I made sure to give at least an hour for lag time when traveling, and any meeting or party I was attending, I knew would need at least 45 minutes to get going. I learned how to sit back, relax, and take it slow bro.

This sounds interesting. I can aptly call my future gatherings with my friends the fiji time.
