A driving factor of conflict in northern Uganda is the lack of resource allocation to the region. Population centers in the Acholi north lack much of the infrastructure present in other parts of the country. Here, people navigate the streets of Gulu, the region’s largest town, illuminated only by occasional passing cars.

Hey Adam, Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate it. It's also one of my favorite photos. I met him on assignment for a non profit group that works with local tailors. He's the father of the woman I was sent to photograph. He was very kind, allowing many snaps after being suddenly woken from a nap. I'm glad you like it.

Beautiful photographs, you have a great talent (or maybe it is luck as well) at capturing the essence of the people. It's all in the eyes.
