Packing
I am finishing up the last class before I am off on my semester adventure. I am also in the process of moving and getting my stuff ready for the trip. This of course means thinking about what to take. Although my host school has provided me with a handy list of things to bring, for some reason I am at a loss. I am realizing that even though the culture in Australia is similar to that of the USA, I am not sure about the temperature and humidity and precipitation. This information is available online but I am not able to translate it into what KINDS of clothing I should bring. I am worrying about types of fabrics (wool is good with moisture control but won't it be too warm?), amount of fabric, laundry facilities, and amount of luggage I want to take. I know I want to pack light so I wont be taking that much of anything (especially toiletries of which I have been informed are available in town). The thoughts of being unbearably uncomfortable in Australia keep popping into my head as I am getting rid of clothes that I don't want to take with me. Chances are though I am going to be having such an amazing time that I wont notice it. :-)
