Awesome Greek Haircuts

December 16, 2009 @ 8:48 AM | Permalink

Greece is famous as the birthplace of Western civilization, but it's also a country that's given us more than its fair share of fashion trends. Togas, Gladiator sandals, headbands and oh-so-much more.

So here's a look at some of the more pioneering haircuts on the streets of Athens right now.

This is the perfect haircut for those ladies out there who want to look like they've been trapped in a wind tunnel.

Or how about this little number?

Nothing beats a waist-length rattail. Especially nice is the fact that it's braided the whole way down.

Other Greek hairdos that couldn't (yet) be photographed:

-mullets of all shapes and sizes

-hybrid mullet/mohawk

- single bleached-blond dreadlock

I recall that the mullet mohawks were also popular in Spain when I was there in 2004.

When I studied abroad in Greece Aegina was the first island I visited and I was told, much like you, that it wasn't really worth the visit. I was glad ...

Hilarious.
