Keith Bellows
Chair
Keith is the Vice President of National Geographic Society and Editor in Chief of National Geographic Traveler. Under Keith, National Geographic Traveler was nominated for a 2003 National Magazine Award for General Excellence. Keith was previously Executive Producer of Excite, launched Babycenter.com, and ran his own companies, the Media Development Group and WestWorld Media. He created and edited more than 30 magazines for Whittle Communications and Meigher Communications; worked for Sports Illustrated (writer), Disney (magazine developer), ESPN (color commentator), and Reader's Digest (editor); and has written for AARP The Magazine, Washingtonian, Parenting, and many other publications. He is the author of The Canuck Book and the 1998 Winter Olympics ACCESS Guide for ABC-TV. A board member of Dartmouth’s alumni magazine and former board member of the American Society of Magazine Editors, he speaks extensively at home and abroad, has appeared on television more than 100 times, and teaches photography workshops and writing seminars around the country. A Canadian citizen, Keith was born in the Congo, and was schooled at Gordonstoun in Scotland and Dartmouth College in New Hampshire.

John Fitzhugh
Vice Chair & Treasurer
John "Josh" Fitzhugh is President and Chief Executive Officer of Union Mutual of Vermont Companies in Montpelier, Vermont. A cum laude graduate of Dartmouth College (1970) and Brooklyn Law School (1977), Josh practiced law in Vermont for 20 years before joining Union Mutual, a property casualty insurance company, in 2000. Josh served as the founding editor of the Connecticut Valley Reporter and a business reporter in New York for the Associated Press. He co-founded and was editor in chief of The National Law Journal. From 1991 to 1993 he served as Legal Counsel to the Governor of Vermont.

Nicholas Fitzhugh
President
As Publisher of Glimpse, Nick Fitzhugh co-manages the daily operations of Glimpse and is responsible for developing long- and short-term objectives for the organization. When wearing his Senior Designer hat, Nick executes all of Glimpse's design needs and helps manage the Glimpse brand. Since Nick co-founded Glimpse in 1999, he’s helped turn what started out as an undergraduate student initiative into an independent nonprofit that works in conjunction with the National Geographic Society. In addition to his experience with Glimpse, Nick has also served as the Associate Director of Research for Building2 Partners, LLC; the Vice President of Business Development for MDigital Systems; a reporter for the Cape Cod Chronicle; the Director of Public Relations and Associate Captain for the FSAE Racecar Design Team; and the Vice President of Capital Sap Company, a family-operated maple syrup company. Nick graduated from Brown University in 2002 with a BA in Comparative Literature. He has lived in France, Italy, and Switzerland; speaks French and Italian; loves film, cooking, outdoor activities, and storytelling; and still wonders if he should call himself a photographer.

Kerala Taylor
Secretary and Editorial Committee Chair
As Editor in Chief of Glimpse, Kerala oversees the full scope of editorial activities, sets editorial strategy and policy, and co-manages daily operations. Kerala co-founded Glimpse in 1999, and has helped grow the organization from an undergraduate campus magazine to an independent non-profit and website that works in close collaboration with National Geographic. In addition to her experience with Glimpse, Kerala has managed communications and development for the Immigrants in Action Committee, a Rhode Island-based community group; published a novel, How Things Break, which won the Elixir Press Inaugural Fiction Award; and bartended in many fine and not-so-fine drinking establishments for the five years that Glimpse was unable to issue paychecks. She is now nearing completion of her second novel, tentatively titled The Dead Cat Gallery. Kerala graduated from Brown University with a BA in Hispanic Studies. She has studied abroad in Bolivia, worked in Spain, and taken drumming classes in Ghana. Now she sits in an office and travels vicariously through the stories she edits for Glimpse.

Dawn Drew
Revenue Committee Chair
Dawn Drew is the Vice President of Global Media Integrated Sales and Sponsorships at National Geographic. Dawn joined the National Geographic Society as advertising director of National Geographic Traveler magazine and was promoted to Publisher of Traveler in 1998. She has served as Second Vice Chair of the U.S. Travel Board of Directors and is an active member of the Pacific Asia Tourism Association (PATA), where she has served on the Board of Directors. She also serves on the U.S. Department of Commerce's Board of Advisors for Travel and Tourism. Prior to coming to National Geographic, Dawn spent eight years at the New York Times Magazine Group where she worked her way up from a sales position at Golf Digest to sales management positions at Tennis and McCalls magazines. A graduate of Tufts University, Dawn majored in Political Science and International Law. She has traveled all over the world and currently resides in Westchester County, New York with her son, Dylan, and their dog, Jack.

Kiera Hynninen
Kiera Hynninen is the Executive Vice President of Marketing and Media Strategy for the National Geographic Channel. At NGC, Hynninen manages the Channel’s brand and all aspects of the domestic marketing team — from consumer and partnership marketing, to ad sales, creative and digital marketing. During her six-year tenure at the Channel, NGC’s audience ratings have continued to grow, a fact that no other network can claim since NGC’s launch. Prior to joining NGC, Kiera was the Senior Vice President of Strategic Marketing for The Weather Channel. Prior to that, she was the Director of Marketing at InterContinental Hotels Group where she led marketing initiatives for the Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express brands. Kiera holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Richmond.

Duane Valz
Duane Valz is presently VP & Associate General Counsel, Global Patents, at Yahoo! Inc. In that principal role, he leads a team of attorneys and engineers responsible for the company’s worldwide invention harvesting, patent filings and portfolio management. In addition to advising on IP-related litigation, licensing, policy and strategic corporate development matters, he also leads Yahoo’s Open Source Working Group, a cross-functional team of attorneys, engineers and business managers. Duane has counseled a wide variety of emerging growth, private and publicly held companies on intellectual property and technology matters in various law firm, consulting and in house capacities. He has also held a number of board positions, principally with non-profit organizations, including those promoting volunteerism, international justice and cooperation and legal rights for underserved populations in his own East Bay community of Northern California. Duane received his J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley, School of Law (Boalt Hall), serving as Submissions Editor of the Berkeley Technology Law Journal. He also earned his B.A., with Honors & Distinction in General Scholarship, from the University of California at Berkeley.

Yasmin Vossoughian
As a journalist and foreign correspondent Yasmin Vossoughian has delivered stories from Tehran, Iran to Israel, Singapore, and Washington, DC. After making a solo trip to Iran she shot and produced a controversial story on sexuality in Iran that was the first piece to air when Al Gore's Current TV launched in the summer of 2005. Serving as a Middle East Correspondent for Current she delivered many stories, including coverage of Iran's controversial presidential elections to the now booming industry of plastic surgery. Most recently Yasmin served as World Poll Correspondent for Gallup in Washington DC, reporting on everything from Russia's elections to a lack of clean drinking water in West Africa. Yasmin graduated from Occidental College in Los Angeles, California and is now based in New York City.
